Jessica Melnik
Founder
Jessica Melnik is the founder of Girls United MN, a nonprofit that strives to empower and inspire the next generation of leaders. She is currently a student at UW-Madison majoring in political science and history.

Veronica Livscheets
Director of Programming
Nica was an active member of Girls United all throughout high school and continues that dedication as the Director of Programming. She is a freshman as the University of Minnesota and plans to carry her passion for women's issues through this next chapter.

Sophie Homberger
Legislative Coordinator
Sophie joined Girls United in 2018 and worked on the Title IX bill, testifying at the Capitol. She is excited to be the Legislative Coordinator and to continue her political activism to empower women.

Lucy Speers
Executive Director
Lucy has been a part of Girls United since 2017 as the Hopkins chapter President and the non-profit Deputy Executive Director, and she is thrilled to now lead as Executive Director. She is a sophomore at UW-Madison studying Political Science. Lucy is a strong feminist and loves helping her Minnesota community!

Soliana Teshome
Director of Outreach
Soliana has been involved with Girls United since 2017 as an event coordinator and Vice President at the Hopkins chapter. Now as a freshman at John's Hopkins University, she will lead chapters as the Director of Outreach. She wants to empower girls and make sure they know they are valued and capable.

Linda Nyakundi
Deputy Executive Director
Linda worked with Girls United MN in 2017 at the junior high level, then joined the Hopkins chapter in 2018 where she became vice president in 2019 and President in 2020! She is a strong leader who advocates for women, and hopes to inspire girls to fight for their dreams.

Ani Palm
Director of Diversity and Inclusion
Ani has been with Girls United since her junior year of high school. She is a freshman at North Park Univeristy in Chicago studying Elementary Education. Ani has been active in social movements such as Environmental Justice, Feminism, and BLM.
